Making a kung-pao tofu stir fry with eggplant and mushroom for the fam while listening to Iron and Wine’s album Our Endless Numbered Days. It’s fun being home at the farm and soaking up the country atmosphere before I run off to artsy Santa Fe, then frenetic Philly, then back to gorgeous Humboldt. Life is really lovely.

Portland State. Any opinions? I’ve been researching schools I may want to transfer to. I like my life at Humboldt State, but I am still fixating on moving to a city for atleast a couple of years. And I am fairly certain that I want to stay in the Northwest. Advice?

I’ve been going on evening hikes in the forest on my own every night. It makes life feel good. It starts getting very dark, but the lighting is beautiful. Everything looks blue and soft and dreamlike. The ferns who sit on the feet of the giant redwoods accept the cool evening breeze through them, and they move with a steady, rhythmic beat.
